What are Liberty prints?

Liberty prints are the creation of Arthur Lasenby Liberty, who was born in 1843. In 1874 he started his own business with the belief that he could change the look of home wares and fashion selling ornaments, fabric and objets d’art from Japan and the East.

By 1885 his store became London’s most fashionable place to shop with the rich, famous and fashionable visiting. His iconic Liberty fabrics were used for clothing and furnishings. The Liberty passion for handcrafted work has continued throughout the decades and recently designers such as Cath Kidston and Orla Kiely have taken inspiration from Liberty.

We love using Liberty prints because of their individuality and personality! They are fun and look fantastic as corsets. You can wear them with jeans in summer for a sunshine feel, or dress them up with a custom made skirt and some gorgeous jewellery for a more dramatic look. Whatever you fancy, we can make it for you.
