I have some great news to share with you – after several years designing and making wedding dresses I have now decided to branch out!

Jackie Thompson Couture will now be known as Hopsack Designs, and I’ll be making corsets, scarves, bags, bow ties, corsages and lots of lovely accessories. I’ll still be making wedding dresses occasionally but I felt I wanted to concentrate on producing items that really showcase some of the fabulous techniques I’ve been learning over the years.

My corset range is something I’ve been working on for a while – I make made-to-measure corsets out of Liberty print fabrics which look so feminine and fun. They all have retro polka dot lining and trim and can be worn dressed down with jeans, or dressed up for big nights out, balls, proms and posh dos. No one will be able to resist complimenting you! Another thing I want to tell you about are my new creative workshops. These will be aimed at helping you learn and make the most of your sewing skills. You’ll be upcycling, transforming, tweaking, pleating, ruffling and generally having a great time with buttons, fun fabrics, and taking home your beautiful creations!
